Senior Data Scientist

Your Role:

• Lead the design and development of advanced data science solutions, contributing to the evolution of Alpaca's data science capabilities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product, and operations, to understand and address the data needs that drive strategic decision-making.
• Lead data-intensive applications throughout their lifecycle, including research and POC with subsequent development, deployment, optimization and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data science at scale, showcasing a deep understanding of data science principles, including statistical methods for supervised and unsupervised learning.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, and a strong working knowledge of Python and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and handling high-volume data, metrics, and transactions; strong understanding of the model lifecycle
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies, data warehousing, ETL processes, and streaming systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, translating business needs into data science solutions.
• Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with enthusiasm for adapting solutions to meet evolving business needs.
• Previous experience with delivering data science solution in banking or finance is a bonus
